Hi,

I’m an undergraduate student at Stony Brook and I’ve been interested in practicing and playing the piano for quite a while now. I was wondering if there were any places where pianos are available for playing to the public on campus.

I know about the two public practice rooms in the staller music building but they’re almost always full, the people manage to stay in there for hours at a time.

I also know there is a piano in the Langmuir lounge but it’s a little bit out of tune. I heard there were some pianos at Tabler but I’ve never checked them out before.

Anyone know of some places on campus?
