Yet another veterinarian and dog trainer recommendation post... Sorry and thank you.
Post Body

My husband's mother bought a show dog (Belgian Shepard), and after six months of unsuccessfully trying to train a puppy, she's giving up (she's not my favorite person, at all). So now my husband is driving 38 hours round trip to pick up the poor puppy. We're completely new to pups but understand enough to know what we're looking for and not looking for. Mostly we do lol

  • We'd like to find a veterinarian who knows show dogs (we have zero desire to show her but who knows what the future holds).

  • We'd like to find a veterinarian and trainer who work together.

  • A trainer who doesn't train with treats is a must (maybe a little when young but not forever. So no Petco or the like.

  • location we are petty flexible. South Salem to Keizer are fine though downtown would be ideal. West Salem probably the least but doable for the right persons.

We have a long road ahead of us and I'm sure my mother in law scarred this pup but hopefully with some love and guidance we can make him the best doggo ever.
