If you haven't been, you are missing out. This tiny little town grows into its own little Bavarian town each September. There's a LOT of food made by local groups that you won't find anywhere close. So good!! A lot of people come just for the food.
If drinking is more your thing, they have three very cool and different places to choose from Alpinegarten, Weingarten, and the infamous Biergarten. All three halls have live bands playing all weekend and are a ton of fun.
If drinking and food still isn't your thing, come for the atmosphere - lots of lederhosen and dirndls. Take the kids to the Kindergarten play area where they have rides (small) a petting zoo, face painting, and even wiener dog races. All of it is free! (or at least it has been in the past). There's neat little artist area with more unique items - not the made in china stuff you see at most festivals anymore. Around town you'll also see some entertainment groups on occasion - mostly dance troupes.
It's the quirkiest town around but for one weekend a year, it's the most fun!
