What does everyone, like, do outside? Haha, I wasn’t an outside kid. I was a latch-key kid who was basically on my own until dinner, even most weekends.
It wasn’t the worst thing, I mean, I’m a big reader and my career outside parenting is writing, but I could have a bit more diverse hobbies and not taken until I was 35 to find an exercise I like and figure out a bit D deficiency (surprise!).
I’m hoping to do a bit better for my kids and when they were babies, strollers or sitting in the grass or chalk was enough. Now, at 6 and almost 3, they are bored of me constantly being like “Want to take a walk??!! Want to decorate the sidewalk for [holiday]?”
What else is there to do outside with younger kids that doesn’t involve dealing with complaints the whole time? Looking at you 1000 hour outside people.
