Anyone else find the s pen tip gets dull quickly?

I loved it at first but then I noticed that the tip is dull so it's not nearly as fluid to use...maybe I was pressing down too hard, but I would expect them to make the tip abit more durable... do they just want you to buy more pens from them? it not nearly as fluid or precise as it was. Maybe it's more user error, but no one told me that the tip was fragile... I remember the 3ds had a more durable tip then this one.
