Why does everyone take it for granted that the Russians didn't deliver any dirt on Clinton? Because that's what Don Jr. says? But he said that after lying about the meeting a number of times. Why take his word on any of it now?

Russia was illegally hacking his rival's campaign to support Trump. They got a meeting with senior members of the campaign. Is there anyone on Earth who thinks they walked into that meeting and said, "Sorry we don't actually have any dirt on Clinton, we just wanted to waste your time." Or is it more likely they got the meeting so they could say, "We didn't bring any specific dirt today, but we've been hacking her email accounts and we're going to dump a bunch of her emails to the public to hurt her, and we want you to know that we are the ones doing it so we can ask you for favors later."

Isn't that still entering into a conspiracy to defraud the American people?
