Weight vs distance question
Post Body

I have just started rucking in recent days and am really enjoying it . . .much easier on my knees than running. For background, I am 66, around 215 lbs, and comfortably run a 5K as far as distance goes.

I just finished 5 miles with 35 lbs and I am feeling it - but no pain or discomfort anywhere.

I would like to know - for my goal of weight loss and building muscle - which is better for starting out: heavier weight for shorter distances or lighter weight for longer distances? Thanks in advance to all you experienced ruckers for sharing your knowledge and experience.
