Getting into rucking, so many questions…

Hello! I’m a M 5’9 340 pounds, trying to lose weight and rucking seems like a good way. Here are my questions…
I have a tactical backpack I use to camp with can I use that to ruck?
I only walk around 30 min a day around a basket all court other than work where I get most of my steps in. Is it worth and will I see the benefits of a 30 min walk? (I get around 12,000 sets daily)
How much weight should I begin with ?
