How Do Holidays Work

How do holidays work when your in service. Let's say you earn £21000 per annum. As far as I'm aware it's paid out over the 12 months regardless of deployed or not. Is it more time off? Do you lose the LOA and just get the basic weekly rate for however many weeks you book off?
Let's say you were to flew out to Bali for 2 weeks and were recalled earlier due to needs of service . Would you be expected to fly back in to the UK to deploy or meet at a nearest port?
