So I posted about this in the pet peeve thread but I think I could use some advice.
So this rich lady booked me to house sit so of course I was in. house with a view, great sound system, kayaks she said I could use if I wanted. She seemed very nice and i was excited to work with her. She has 2 French bulldogs and an older chihuahua. Too good to be true, right?
The frenchies are just straight up not house trained despite being MORE than old enough to know. I suspect she just never bothered to teach them, which I should have figured out from the liberal use of puppy pads around the house. I try to walk them and let them out regularly enough to try to get them to go outside, but it’s like they prefer inside. I’m so fucking annoyed.
Gonna be watching them for 5 days later this month and I’m so dreading all of the shit I’m going to have to clean up (they get it on the puppy pad maybe 30% of the time). But I just couldn’t say no, the payout is just too good.
I try to keep a close eye when I’m there and take them outside right when they look like they’re about to go (so essentially just training them like a puppy), but my patience is really wearing thin.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Any suggestions about how to handle it?
