Did my sitter feel bad for my pup?
Post Body

Went out of town for 4-5 days, 11-12 year old dog, had the sitter drop in for 30 minutes 3x a day. Dog had free roam of our whole house, no crating. She’s used to going 8 hours between potty breaks because we work. She never has accidents and didn’t have one while we were gone. She also doesn’t destroy anything - she’s a really amazing old girl.

Our sitter always stayed for extra time unprompted, sometimes up to 45 minutes. They’d play outside in our yard most of the time. We loved this, but definitely did not expect or ask for it! We tipped her the max Rover would let us (30%) which was around $120. We were very thankful. I also left her a raving 5 star review.

But it has me curious - did the sitter just like our dog or did she feel bad for her? If you guys ever stay longer, why did you? She also left a toy, treats and a framed photo of her on our counter. Really lovely sitter. So happy with her! I’m really hoping she just likes her and didn’t think she was miserable alone :(

I drop in on a cat that I love. Gus. I call him Gus Gus. If I have time I stay with him longer because he's great and I want to steal him.
