Rover card for last minute booking from regular client
Post Body

Hello, I've been on Rover for a little while but haven't had this situation happen before, so hoping someone has some insight.

I had a regular client reach out and ask about doing a last minute drop in for their pets due to suddenly having to work late. I confirmed I could do it and sent them the booking request on Rover, but unfortunately they didn't confirm on Rover until after I had already completed the booking (due to them working, not having access to their phone and the urgency of the booking - I wasn't concerned as I know them well and have never had an issue with them paying for services, so was happy to start the visit prior to confirmation). But as a result, I didn't have the ability start the Rover card whilst I was doing the actual booking as the request was still 'pending' at that point.

I texted the client an update after the visit (to their phone, not Rover) about what their pets got up to during the drop in as well as some photos, and they were super grateful. I read that Rover only requires Rover cards for recurring walks but I'm unsure if this applies to drop ins as well? Is there anything else I need to do on Rover's end to confirm that I completed the booking or does it matter if the Rover card is not started/hasn't been filled out? They normally have walks, not drop ins, so I haven't had any experience with this aspect of Rover and would appreciate any advice 🙂
