Ok, so, I know there's kind of conflict on this subreddit where people who want Rosaria to have huge boobs clash with people who prefer the change or simply don't care about it and don't want to hear about the boobs anymore. There's a lot of memes mocking people who are not fighting for the boobs and I just wanted to offer some perspective as to why they maybe are upset about the constant boob posts.

I do want to stress, though, that this doesn't justify anyone insulting or mocking you boob lovers for your taste--that shouldn't be the point at all. Those people are still shitty for doing that--you have the right to your fetish same as everyone else, and there's nothing wrong with wanting the boobs even if it's just so you can wank to your character. It doesn't matter why you like them. Like what you like.

Anyway, on to the perspective exercise:

Imagine, if you will, the perfect Genshin character for you. Imagine that everything about her matches your taste. Face, style, clothes, voice, attitude/personality, weapon, element, just everything. This character is coming up in the game and there is enough leaked information about her to know she's your forever carry.

Keep in mind, you feel underserved so far in this game. The only other characters so far that match your tastes are problematic. One of them is a child that just wears the style you like, so, that's not right. And the other ended up with an absolutely insane accent that makes no fucking sense for the character presented and a difficult to use kit that contradicts itself without whale level investment, which, yeah, kind of ruins it for you. No, this character is the one that fits everything you want, finally, with no problems.

The time comes time for her debut. She appears in the game in a cutscene. Not playable yet, but you're excited. There's one problem, though:

For some reason, they gave her extremely large, dirty, bare feet. Like, comically too large to make sense or fit the aesthetic of the game. Clown shoe sized. And every time she moves, they flap strangely because the game's physics engine isn't the best. You don't have a fetish for extremely large, dirty feet, but every time she's on screen, they're there--you can't really ignore them. They're really distracting and don't at all fit your vision of the character or the information you had about her previously.

But, everything else is still perfect. She's great otherwise. It's not the best, but like, ok. You can deal, right? It's more easily ignorable than a bad voice you have to hear constantly, at least. And maybe when you're playing, you won't see them since you mostly look at character's backs anyway and they'll get covered up by her legs. No problem. Let's do it. There doesn't seem to be any future character leaked that could fill your interests otherwise anyway.

So, you maintain levels of excitement, even though your friends and loved ones mock you for liking the "giant feet girl." "I don't like giant dirty feet," you insist. "Sure, sure, clown-shoe boy, whatever." "No, I liked her before the feet!" "Now you sound like a fetish hipster." When talking about the game you play and enjoy, your wife now looks at you funny and wonders if you are unhappy with her regular sized feet. Sigh.

Well, a month later, it turns out, they changed something about this character. They made her feet the same size as every other character in the game, and gave her shoes. Wow, what a relief. You won't be distracted by them in game--it's just not your thing, after all--and after a few more "oh, sorry your giant feet are gone!" comments from friends, people will begin to forget and let it be and you can enjoy your favorite character in peace.

You are, in fact, still excited enough to join a community about this character in anticipation of her release. You look forward to discussing builds, the character's history, and seeing art or whatever else.

Except, well, 9/10 posts on the forum are actually about missing her huge floppy dirty feet. You feel bad, because everyone has fetishes, and that's fine. They have a right to want the feet--total respect to whatever you like as long as it's not for stuff that can't consent like children or actual animals.

But it's really excessive, repeated, and dramatic. Any time you voice a contrary opinion, say, maybe that you prefer the normal sized feet and shoes, you get yelled at and told that you're a shill, or a prude, or in favor of censorship. They insist that this character was specifically made for their fetish and then that fetish got taken away unfairly, but I mean, you know that's not true--she was perfect already before the fetish got added later.

There's art at least. Except, even the art that gets posted, even art you really like otherwise with perfect facial expressions and whatnot are dominated by extremely huge, floppy feet. Even, of course, larger than were in the actual game during the original cutscene.

Browsing the front page of your community is really about tediously sifting through multiple copies of the same customer service response people get when complaining about her wearing shoes and memes of people being sad about the feet. There's maybe a handful of posts not related to the feet issue posted a week that you always participate in.

It's frustrating because you want everyone to have a place they can call home and talk about what's on their mind, but, you feel like you don't have that yourself anymore because it feels like they took over your place.

You call out to the void for a single stickied megathread for the feet issue posts, but to no avail. What about a separate subreddit for the feet issue? Nope. Just deal with it. Just deal with it for 3 weeks. Well, and then again when the character survey is released a few weeks after that. Sigh.
