Patio roof riser bracket
Post Body

Hey all,

I’m debating how to reattach my patio roof after re-roofing the house. It was previously attached to a nailer board hanging off the rafter tails of the house, but I want to put that weight over the walls of the house.

I have a friend recommending a product that attaches to rafters on top of the shingle with sealant, but that seems sketchy to me, and the bracket ain’t cheap.

I’m looking at another bracket type that would attach to wall top plate under the decking and then I’d flash the post penetration of decking same as a plumbing vent.

Y’all got a preference? Any brand recommendations you can point me toward ?

Appreciate any tips! Thanks!
