Can I get a real answer… it sounds like there’s a lot of opinions on it.

The question… I have a 100yo house that I want to finish the attic in. I got a quote from a spray foam company to spray the roof /deck, asked him if we need to add rafter venting to between the rafters from the ridge to the soffit and he said No..

I plan on adding rafter ties and there’s already a ridge vent in place. The small space that will be above the rafter ties will be unconditioned and I assume the ridge vent will be appropriate.

Whats the opinions on this?
