Having trouble applying .PPF to multi-disc PSX game on Mac

*I'm on Mac, so I can't use PPF-O-Matic.
*I'm using Multi-Patch, which supports .PPF
*PATCH:
patch disc 1.ppf
patch disc 2.ppf
*GAME:
game (disc 1).bin
game (disc 1).cue
game (disc 2).bin
game (disc 2).cue
I've tried several variations to no avail. Am I supposed to create the .m3u before or after the patching? Am I supposed to just patch the bins? Do I patch the cues? Do I create new cues somehow? Obviously, I am not well-educated here and would greatly appreciate any help.
