I think it is a pretty well-known truth that the NLOG "trope" is misogynistic and just generally not great. But I think it would be kinda fun to ask all of you lovely readers: if you were an MC, what would make you stand out to the love interest? What would grab their attention and make them think, "wow, this person has DEPTH!" But like, you know, Not Like Other Girls style. So nothing actually super crazy. 😄
For example, I love the peace and quiet of graveyards. So the other MC (MMC for me) might find me sitting dreamily in a graveyard. Not even journaling moodily or painting beautiful pictures. I'd just be sitting with my dog and trying to stop her from eating all the grass (labs, amirite?).
So, lovely readers, tell me how you are not like other girls! 🦄
Note: this is obviously a tongue-in-cheek kinda thing. I hope it is seen that way and not overly bashing or snarky!
Edit: I am reading all of your comments and holy hell, every single one of you is seriously awesome! Even if your answers were written in jest, they honestly make all of you sound like genuinely fascinating people and I want to befriend all of you. 🥰
I’ve been going through hair loss since high school so I’m not like other girls because I’m balding 🤣
Also any reqs where an FMC has some kind of thinning hair or hair loss issues? That would be really relatable
I read about all these FMCs who have silky thick beautiful hair and I’m just like 🥹
“I’m happy for you FMC but I’m not like other girls” 🤣

Ahh it’s so difficult
I’m working on not letting it define me
