Hi everyone. I’ve been rereading Business Casual by BK Borison and I hoped I would understand this scene the second time reading it. But I don’t and it’s bothering me so much.

Please be aware of spoilers! (Also nsfw)

I really don’t understand why Nova wins the bet against Charlie and gets his watch.

The bet was to finish the other person first, right? And Charlie made her finish twice before he finished. So why did he say that Nova won? Her getting the watch is kind of a big deal but I don’t understand why she won it 😭 I understand it like he won the bet.

Please someone explain it to me, I’m sorry if I’m being an idiot lmao
