Bad reviews but you read it and liked it..

Post Body
Is there a book that you saw a lot of bad reviews for but decided to read it anyway and loved it?
I'm curious about this because sometimes I'll read a synopsis that intrigues me but the reviews make me hesitate. Lately if I see the rating is below 3.5 (on Goodreads), I just don't bother.
Is there something you look for in the reviews to decide if you take them seriously or not? Or do you just read anything, regardless of the reviews?
