It made a lot of sense people didn't know our parents were married. We looked nothing alike, obviously, and our parents had only been married for a year. We went to competing colleges 30 minutes away and didn't really talk all that often, unless we were home for family functions. But still, there was a lot of tension between us, and most of it sexual, we just never acted on it.
My best friend, who also happened to be my roommate, was sick of seeing me down after my breakup. I was either moping around the room, listening to 2000s emo, or just eating food on the couch and he was sick of it. Him and his GF, who was your roommate, set me up with a girl from another school(you) and I didn't think twice about it. The way she described you was nothing close to how I thought of you; funny, down to earth, a smile that brightens a room. I was surprised anybody would want to go out with a sad sack like me, but you were super interested. Must have been all the ways they described me that threw you off enough, and you agreed.
My roommate and his GF set up dinner reservations, told us the time and place and we were supposed to meet by the front door. Imagine my surprise when I see you walking up, in a beautiful dress, all made up. "What the hell are you doing here?"
