Hi there, 40f looking to write with someone around my age(35-45) give or take a few years. Having similar points of reference and life experiences is something I've found I enjoy in a writing partner. Also, there is a severe stigma it seems around older writers, which I think is terrible. I pretty much only play female, and would prefer my partner to play and be male.
I love historical, fantasy, and scifi settings, not super keen on modern, though urban fantasy is an interest. Potentially game for a story to be set in an existing universe, but would want both primary characters to be OCs (side note, if anyone wants to write in the Wildstar universe, it's been one I've wanted to do for a while).
Looking for any and all of these tropes:enemies to lovers, redemption arcs, Knights in tarnished armor, off on a quest, damaged heroes healing one another, all the fun bonding experiences that can lead to characters falling in love, because yay romance. I am perfectly alright writing smut, but I want story to go along with it, and have it be purposeful. Probably a 70% story or more to smut ratio.
Literate, 3 paragraph relies are what I typically aim for, though I can get carried away and write a novella occasionally. It depends on how easily I can visualise it playing out. 3rd person past tense is what I'm comfortable writing. Replies can range from multiple in a day(in the groove), every day(typical unless I've got too much happening that day) or a 2-3 day delay(rare, but can happen). The expectation would be a similar range for yourself. A pet peeve is when someone promises to get a reply in, and then flakes. At our advanced age we should be able to keep our word.
Oh, I rp on discord, and would make a private server for us to get everything down in. I also use Google docs, and am a visual person, so if you're the type to spend hours trying to find the right inspiration images, we will get along great. If you don't, we likely still will get along, I'm incredibly difficult to offend, and I will go out of my way to try and make things work. Likely why I have a bunch of dead servers and ghosted replies. Still, hope springs eternal, and perhaps this post will help me to find someone to click with so we can create beautiful, tragic yet happy stories together.
Edit:Thank you so much for the enthusiastic response. I think I've found a few good fits that I'm going to try out for now, but if you meet the criteria and still want to message, I am more than happy to see if it could work. Thanks again everyone, and I hope you find the writing partner you are looking for.
