Hiya there Rpers! I have finally mustered enough courage to post a prompt I have been dwelling on for sometime now. You can find my profile here

So now that the niceties can be done away with, I have a post-apocalyptic prompt I would like you to consider - Earth has been ravaged by a solar flare. All our modern technology has been rendered useless by a powerful EMP caused by this solar storm setting us back a few hundred years. What remains of the ozone layer isn't enough to protect a large portion of the world from the harmful radiation of our sun. Basically life on earth is fucked and under serious threat of extinction.

Amidst the ensuing chaos, one portion of North America has been lucky to survive the Event and the destruction of ozone layer and has formed its own society to survive. With no certainity about future catastrophic events or of any survivors outside the continent, they cautiously start rebuilding. Over the course, the society evolves a new class system. A defined territory for each of the 2 classes - The rich - called the Arcadia (known as heaven), the service class/ workers (Terra Opus - the work land). Things were going fine until the first purge called The Abolition which happened within the 5 years from the superflare. Here the working class raised their arms against their rich oppressors and almost succeeded in toppling the class system. But they were routed in the last ditch attempt even though they had annexed a large portion of Arcadia. Post mutiny, the region was abandoned by the Terra Opus and it soon became the haven for raiders, outlaws and banished citizens, criminals. The Arcadia resolved to let this territory remain ungoverned, serving as a makeshift border against the Terra Opus. They also slowed down the efforts to rebuild Terra Opus. So the Abolition resulted in carving of a new territory popular these days as the Infernum (the hell).

Our roleplay starts on the 50th anniversary of the Abolition. A celebration event is planned in the Arcadia region while Terra Opus is broiling with civil unrest behind closed doors. I will be playing a second generation Terra Opus immigrant citizen – a cabbage cultivator. I am also a technician in the secret resistance. Terra Opus doesn’t have any electricity (superflare fried our transformers and disabled the entire powergrid and Arcadia didn’t bother replacing them post the mutiny) so in order to put up a fight against the Arcadians we need the electricity among other things. I am tasked to go to the Infernum region to collect important parts for our generators. This is my first trip to the outlawed lands and despite my trainings I am relatively inexperienced and nervous. Who are you? Are you the courier? Are you a bandit or a hustler? Or are you a spy working for the Arcadian ministry?
