Greetings! I'm Val (he/him), 28, and on the hunt for a roleplay partner to join me on a cozy adventure filled with laughter and magic. It's that time of the year when all my D&D campaigns are put on hold and I'm looking for a way to fill that void - hopefully beyond the holidays :)
Genre: Fantasy - think D&D vibes, but more of a slow-paced slice-of-life plot. Cozy taverns, bustling marketplaces and campfire chats over epic battles and dark dungeons.
I'm not entirely opposed to angst and drama, but would like to balance it with copious amounts of fluff and lighthearted, wholesome moments.
I'm also a sucker for romance, but that's totally optional!
Characters: I have some from D&D campaigns that met an untimely end I could repurpose for this, but don't mind coming up with new characters from scratch either. I prefer primarily playing male characters, but would also love to (eventually) have a larger cast and will play any gender. I'm happy for you to play whatever you're comfortable with :)
Please note that most of my characters aren't straight/cis (and neither am I) and that I don't want queerphobia in my escapist fantasy.
Who I'm looking for: I hope to find a partner who cares as deeply about our characters and their journey as I do and won't mind me gushing over them in OOC chat. At the same time, I appreciate some patience and understanding, as I work full time and my replies can be slow - you can, of course, expect the same from me. Also, adults (21 ) only, thank you!
Technical details: I try to match my partner in terms of reply length, but shorter replies (1-3 paragraphs) are most comfortable to me and make it easier to keep the story flowing. I write in third person, past tense. Please keep in mind that English isn't my first language, so my phrasing can be a bit awkward, but I like to think that, generally, my writing is at least somewhat comprehensible.
I usually use Discord, but am also open to other platforms.
My time zone is GMT 1.
If this sounds interesting to you, shoot me a message and we can start plotting :) Let's create something magical together. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
Val
