Post Body

Hey everybody! I’m new here, but I’ve been doing text RP for a few years now, on and off (a lot of D&D related stuff but that’s not quite what I’m looking for here) . I'm hoping to meet a long term RP partner who likes a bunch of different themes, but on a more grounded level. I love one on one character development, and am a big fan of romantic growth, though I’m more than open to platonic relationships development too!

I’m a pretty reactive writer. I usually like to write in one to two paragraph responses until something more substantial happens, at which point I can write up to 4, sometimes 5 paragraphs, but I in general prefer for RP to feel more like an exchange.

Anyway, I don’t wanna drag this post on for too long, so I thought I’d leave you with some of the prompts I liked so you can get an idea of my writing style and interests. If there’s one you like, feel free to put that in your introduction message, or if you have a similar idea you’d like to try, I’m open to hearing it too!

  • The new girl next door (Modern/Possibly Fantasy)

It’s a small neighborhood, most everyone knows each other. You’re pretty sure you could go around and name at least one person per household in your part of the town. When the next door neighbour moves, most of the town starts gossiping about the new girl moving in. There’s some joking going around that she might be a vampire, that she wears a wide-brimmed black hat during the day, that she leaves her house mostly at night, that she’s pale as porcelain. Maybe you’re the curious type, or maybe you’re just tired of all the rumours, but you know you should at least introduce yourself and find out for yourself. * High school drama (Modern)

A new colleague starts in your department today. You catch a glimpse of her as she’s dragged around the office and introduced to everyone. She seems nice enough, but you can tell she’s nervous. As her and your boss stop by your desk, she introduces herself. Something feels awfully familiar about her. You remember that last name well enough, it was your high school bully’s last name. Is she his sister? Your boss moves to the desk across from yours, where she sits down. God you hope she’s not like him. * Manners maketh (Fantasy)

You were born and raised amongst nobles. Your parents always had you surrounded with the family’s trusted servants. On your 18th birthday, your father pulls you aside, telling you you’ll be needing someone of your own to trust. He explains that whilst he would love to entrust one of the house’s servants to you, they are needed where they are. He tells you you’ll be needing a servant of your own, and that you will have to choose someone from the candidates yourself. * Blackout (Sci-fi)

The simulation flickers for a second. You look around and everything becomes unclear for a second, the voice of the AI comes to a screeching halt like a broken record, and then everything blacks out. You think it must’ve crashed at first, but as you bring your hands to your head to pull off the helmet, you feel nothing. You blink frantically as bright sunlight blinds you. As your vision adapts, you find yourself in a green meadow, with a woman sitting on a picnic blanket. She chuckles at your confused expression, and you recognize her voice as the AI’s. What the hell is going on?
