It was an interesting idea, getting to know someone who was on the opposite side of the political spectrum. The campus civility group wanted to put together a workshop and you didn't have anything better to do. That's when we got sat down together, our questionnaire sheets were polar opposites. You're an urban liberal female, I'm a rural conservative male. But as we started to talk, started to get to know each other, there was a spark. You and I hung out after the workshop was over and we got a drink. One thing lead to another and we're making out with no sign of slowing down.

Cultural Crossover - Friends to Lovers

We met in elementary school, just after your family immigrated to the states. Your mom and dad were doctors, bringing your family to the US for a better life. My folks were middle class, hard working folks, and were just thrilled that I was making friends in school. As you learned more about your new home, and I learned more about your culture, our families grew close. There was always the suspicion that we might get together, and as we grew up puppy love blossomed between two best friends who couldn't be any more different. We've been through a lot, I'm not religious, but your family is and as you grew you we often sheltered. You watched me excel in sports, and I watched you bloom into a popular and intelligent young woman. We've never had the opportunity to do much of anything, but now that we're adults... things are getting more intense between us. College will begin soon, and we're having to make choices about who we're becoming.
