Long ago in a distant past, there was a large island that lay out in the center of an unnamed sea. This island was one of beauty, but also danger. The eastern coast of the island featured large settlements home to many different people. The center of the island, however, was largely considered wild territory. No one on the eastern coast wanted to go through the effort of traveling through the wild territory.

Rumor had it that there were dangerous, but magnificent creatures that roamed the wild territories. There were very few people in the town that got some experience in this part of the island. There was a group of older folks who attempted to do some exploration, but one of these creatures managed to get too close to settlement and the group of people saw it. From what they could recall, the creature was terrifying. As time went on, the story of the group who had this encounter spread throughout the entire eastern coast. No one dare go beyond the eastern coastal area.

However, this was more of a dream to live obliviously on the eastern seaboard. As the inhabitants of the city soon found out, the space on the eastern part of the island was not finite - soon there was no more space. People attempted to build up, but they could not get super tall buildings built as quickly as smaller ones. So, there was a great meeting held one morning. It was decided that there would be a group of people who would be sent out into the wild territory to cross over to the western coast and set up a colony. However, no one wanted to volunteer. So, lots were drawn and mine was picked. I was soon assembled with a group of people and that’s when I saw you. It wasn’t long after that our group was getting ready to set off on the journey of a lifetime…
