I am 18 and all characters must be 18

The Darkness approaches one of the central villages. Scavourough. A small alchemy and farming village that helps local city and town militias. The day was fine, clear skies and an easy 65° at noon. The local guard were mostly volunteers. Young teens who haven’t picked up any jobs or aren’t able to during the off seasons. They were given some armor and spears, more than enough to fend off any highwaymen or bandits that would come around once in a while. Maybe a few hundred people during the busy season.

By nightfall nothing remained of the town. The farmlands were all torched and the population was killed and turned to Thralls by Varthsuvious the Plague Commander. A demon lord commanding a horde before the real scourge. Within days news spreads to the major cities. Astariel is up in arms, best they can while fighting a war on two fronts already. If Unifus wasn’t surrounded on all sides by bandits maybe they could do something. The eastern powers are busy with their own world, let alone what is happening a hundred miles away or more. Carinthian Glory could dispose of this threat in a night, but Karthisus is busy subjugating the roaming threats around her land.

Bounty hunters are dispatched at a much higher rate. Any proof of a demon killed is an immediate silver reward. Troves of men comb through the forests and grasslands. Stragglers are killed but never the main force, it’s as if they disappeared after the attack.

What this means is that smiths are forced to work much harder to keep up with demand. Craftsmen are much more relied upon. Militants are made to patrol more area and more often, and the citizens aren’t allowed to leave certain areas without armed escort provided by the government.

The main story is not a priority. We can fully focus on our characters and their lives. The prompt is a great way I feel to introduce the world and the vibe it gives off. This world is medieval fantasy and not dark fantasy.

I’m sparkles. I can write male or female. Advanced literate, 400 words on average per message. My world has many kingdoms and towns worth exploring, with an overarching story that doesn’t even have to be touched. I have over 15 original races and there’s so much to do in this world I don’t think it can get old.

Come with ideas if you want, or wait until you read the lore. I’m looking for someone who wants to really get in depth with characters and plans, to do a 1x1 or even a GM style roleplay. I require literacy but I am not extremely strict. Discord only. Smut and romance are required but not the main focus.

Ideas

A smith and their assistant. In these times it takes a lot of work to keep up. The stress of the job and the heat of the forge can make one irritated. An assistant can relieve that stress simply by helping in the slightest. A quick fingered seamstress can finish the leathers on products, or a strong worker can help carry the metals and work things into shape. There’s a lot of options.

A guard, knight, bounty hunter paired with a citizen, or any of the other three. There’s a ton of potential with someone hiring a bounty hunter, maybe a guard meeting a bounty hunter while they’re off work and they get along great. Knights falling in love. Guards falling in love. A guard tasked to escort carriages meets a lovely person and takes a liking to them.

In general I really love playing with and against anthropomorphic characters. Predator and prey is extremely fun to mess with and tribal characters are ridiculously fun. Don’t feel like you have to play any of these ideas, there’s so much in this world we could do anything.
