In the grim darkness of the 41st millennium, where there is only time for war and death, few embody the brutality and cruelty of it all quite like the Astra Militarum, the Imperial Guard. These men and women were not engineered tobe fearless, as the Adeptus Astartes were, nor were they born for war, as the Orks and the Tyranids are. The guardsmen is not blessed by Chaos, nor do they wield great psychic powers. They are nothing more than a man, an a poorly armed one at that, in the majority of cases. They are forced to hold the line against demigods and daemon spawns, green tides and endless swarms, yet through all the unspeakable horrors of the galaxy, they stand firm. They've held the line for thousands of years, and as they fall by the billions, billions more are there to take their place, to continue the cycle of carnage for years to come. This is the beginning of our story, as it is for many, many others. This is the story of a guardsmen, and how he survived it all..

Hello again roleplayers! I hope you liked my simple little idea! As I'm sure many of you 40K fans can agree, the life of a guardsmen is by far one of the hardest one can live. To face all the horrors that we as 40K fans know to exist, often with nothing but a cheap blaster and simple armor, is a fate I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, but boy to I want to explore it in roleplay! Our roleplay can take place at any role and rank in the Astra Militarum we decide. We can have one long and in depth story, or multiple short stories that tell a grander story. So long as the focus is on the Imperial Guard, I'm a happy camper. We can talk more about the details one on one, but first, a few disclaimers and requirements.

First and foremost, I AM NOT, NOR DO I EXPECT YOU TO BE, A LORE EXPERT. If you are, fantastic, I'd love to pick your brain as we rp, and you can lead the story by all means. All I ask is that when you reach out to me, you understand that our rp may not be 100% lore friendly, creative liberty will be used for the sake of flow and fun, and I will always TRY to be as consistent as possible. I'm not too deep into the hobby, I got a handful of minis, the Astra Militarum Codex, and quite a few lore videos watched, along with a IMMENSE passion and love for the setting. Secondly, please, for the love of the Emperor, don't try to police my writing. I don't have a post length requirement, I don't have a rpm requirement (replies per minute. See what I did there?), and, this one may be a shocker, I'm human, and will make mistakes in my writing. Roleplay is a fun escape for me after a hard days work, or when the pills don't work. It's fun and relaxing, and that's how it's gonna stay. It should be noted that, though all the above may be a turnoff, I've been roleplaying for about 9 years now. You're not dealing with a weak roleplayer here, I actually like to thing I'm pretty decent all around.
