Okay, so hopefully I haven't totally messed up that title, and if I have, then whoops, my bad.

So hi!

I'm Dave. I'm 30y/o roleplaying veteran, and I've been rping since I was 15 or so- first on Neopets, and then on various internet forums and internet mediums. Maybe you knew me, even. Maybe not.

I've been away from this sort of thing for a while, but now I'm back, and looking to maybe give this whole thing a go again! I usually write in first person past tense (I looked at her, she looked at me, etc) but I can stretch to third person or present tense if I absolutely need to.

I consider myself 'literate', and can write several paragraphs per post or reply or whatever; I prefer to keep things at 3-5 per pop, so events can keep moving swiftly, and we don't get bogged down in unnecessary filler details that do nothing whatsoever to drive the plot along.

I'm willing to give most genres a go, but I prefer slice of life stuff, modern day fantasy, medieval fantasy, Victorian fantasy, science fiction (see a pattern here?), pretty much any kind of fantasy. Low or high doesn't matter, but I prefer things to be in some way not the norm at all, even if it might seem normal for the characters.

Speaking of, I prefer to play my own gender, but I can play female if it's necessary to the plot. I prefer to focus on two characters, bringing in others when needed, but I'm open to other alternative ideas too.

I prefer the slow-burn romantic kinds of plots, with lots of character development, gratuitous adorableness, and lashings of angst and emotional turmoil. I'm not a huge fan of gore for gore's sake, but if it makes sense in context, I'm all for it.

I have a few ideas floating round, and some more in my head that haven't yet been written anywhere. At the moment, I've got a few everyday ideas, a couple or three involving people with superpowers, a couple of Fantasy things, and some miscellaneous stuff, too.

I'm around most of the time, and can reply pretty regularly, and will often match whatever I'm given in terms of quality, length, etc.

I prefer to use Discord or something similar, but if you're only able - or willing- to use Reddit PMs or emails, then I can work with that too. Please don't send me messages on Reddit chat- I don't use it, and I will totally miss your messages.
