First, what tends to draw me to a story and its RP and its development is the drama, the uncertainty of it all. Therefore, I enjoy stories in which the characters have biases, strong opinions, or outright situations that will create conflict with any character that will take part in the story.
Most of the characters that I write tend to be morally grey, bastards in their own right that have an inherent trait that can’t be outright changed. This could be either self-destructive personalities, a rebel that thinks that the ends justify the means, Machiavellians, or simply manipulative men that want to do good but are really not certain how to. An example of this would be: “A mercenary jaded by his past, working as a bodyguard to a tyrant that exploits the peasantry. Even if he feels sympathy for those suffering under the subjugation of the tyrant, his morals end up hushed by the jingling sound of coins as he follows commands and reaps another tithe in the name of a future betterment that may not come.”
What do I want from my partner? An interesting development of the plot, I know the response is generic, but I do not seek a certain moral compass from the person that I RP with. The character could try to “fix him” or “make him worse,” but I will leave it to you how you will want the character to be, and I’ll gladly help if you need so. But please, do not bend the moral of your character to seek to appease me OOC (Out of Character). I will not be bothered by any action that your character takes, and I will seek to develop everything in character (through RP) unless it is far too tedious.
I’d love it if you help build the story with me. You are more than welcome to add your input whenever you want to.
In terms of my posts/replies, they tend to vary. They could be either one to three paragraphs to an entire page. I do not want you to write or add more if the situation doesn’t demand it or because you feel that you need to match the length of a reply. Still, a paragraph is, in my opinion, the bare minimum unless we are writing back to back. I tend to reply 2 or 3 times per day. I will always understand that you could be a busy person, so as long as you reply once every 1 or 2 days, it will be good for me. You can also hit me up if you need a break or if you are busy, and I will understand it.
The settings that I enjoy are:
- Fantasy (DnD, LotR, Warcraft, etc.)
- Cyberpunk (Red or 2077)
- ASOIAF
- 40K
- Anything homebrew
If you are interested, do feel free to DM me. If you have an interesting proposal for RP on a setting that you think could interest me, do share it!
