The world has been overrun. Decades ago, something tore through the fabric of reality, opening gates to a realm of nightmares. Monsters flooded in driven by instincts that no one fully understands. They roam the land, drawn to settlements, ripping through forests, contaminating waters, leaving humanity scattered and desperate. Entire cities now lie in ruins, reclaimed by the wilderness. Survivors scrape by in hidden villages, and underground tunnels.
You’re one of those hunters, tasked with fending off beasts that only seem to grow in number and ferocity. People rely on hunters not just for protection, but for supplies, medicine, and answers. Recently, though, the attacks have become stranger. Monsters that should roam alone are gathering in packs. Creatures thought to be extinct are resurfacing, each more violent than the last.
It’s no longer just about survival. Each hunt takes you closer to the truth. Old texts speak of a force that existed long before humanity, a primordial being that has awakened, using these creatures as pawns in some twisted game. Some hunters think it’s a myth, others say they’ve seen signs that can’t be ignored.
Hey there, and thanks for sticking with me through the post! I’m looking for people who are just as excited to dive into this dark, monster-filled world as I am. I want active, engaged players who can commit to posting at least once a day, though I’d love it if you’re around even more often. I’m a big fan of keeping the pace moving so we can keep that suspense and tension building. The game will be in third person past tense and run over Discord, where we can keep everything organized and flowing smoothly. And by no means is this plot set in stone. I'm more than happy to hear any ideas or thoughts you have!
Now, I’m not just looking for anyone. I’m looking for people who genuinely care about good storytelling. That means using solid grammar, punctuation, and detail to make this world feel alive. And if you’re someone who likes chatting out of character too, even better. I’d love for us to build a friendship outside the game itself, if we click.
If this sounds like your kind of game, I’d love for you to reach out! Send me a DM with some info about yourself and any ideas you have for a character. Please, give it some thought. One-liners or short answers won’t get a response. This is an intense world, and I want to know you’re just as invested as I am. Looking forward to hearing from you!
