The esteemed families of the ton have been summoned home, arriving on a warm breeze and greeted with the floral aroma of yet another matchmaking season. The thriving community embraces the traditions of courting, with young women rushing to and from the modiste in hopes of catching the eye of one of the eligible gentlemen that are looking to marry.
Callum Wardrope, by all means, is not looking to marry. He's only returned to tend his late father's affairs. At twenty three years old he never expected to suddenly become the man of a home he hadn't lived in since he was eighteen and his wide eyes wild streak had led him abroad. Unfortunately, he was called home to tie up affairs, and look after his mother and younger sister, who is making her debut this season.
Cal hopes to convince his mother and sister to move away to the Highlands, where he's traveled back from, but it's proving to be a difficult task. Neither eager to leave their social circles and his sister hoping to make a potential love match, it seems Callum is going to have to suffer through the matchmaking season before he can take his leave.
Reluctantly he serves as her chaperone and draws a bit of unwanted attention from available women and their mothers. He is quite handsome, of course. Intelligent and well traveled, as well as financially secure and from a family held in high esteem...but completely uninterested in taking a wife. Why is that?
And who are you? A debutante experiencing her first season as well, perhaps a friend of his sister's? More seasoned, after a few seasons of your own? Perhaps you're dead set on a love match of your own and refuse to settle, or perhaps you've decided love isn't for you and you aren't interested in marriage either. Maybe you're not in society at all, watching from the outskirts. Maybe you're there only to chaperone your own sister or daughter. The possibilities are endless and I can't wait to explore them.
Hello hello! I just finished Bridgerton, of course, and I'd love to write a story based in the Regency era and revolving around romance, scandal, and anything else we can come up with.
I'm 31 so 21 is the minimum. I'm looking to write a male character, but I'm open to MxF and MxM pairings. I write novella style turns with usually a 3 paragraph minimum, and I'm looking for the same. I like to write with other experienced writers and I want to build a well rounded cast of characters with our two mains at the forefront. I'm in EST and work a typical schedule, but I'm active OOC as much as I can be and usually get multiple turns our a day. I always try to let my partner know when I won't be available and for how long.
I want to build the kind of story we're both eager to hear more of. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, don't hesitate to reach out!
