To summarize before I get into my ideas, I have roleplayed in the past. Like 8-10 years ago. I miss writing with someone. There is something about going with the flow and responding to their ideas in their post. The curveballs. I tend to write in 3rd person, I like longer posts, and tend to rehash some of the other persons post from my character's point of view when I reply. The last thing is I like to chat a lot with my RP partner, get to know them, build a bond.
As my title said I'm a Slice of Life and romance writer. I mainly focus on two strangers meeting and then falling for one another. There are a lot of pairings that fit into this, some slow and romantic, others drama filled. I am going to throw a few below, but if you can think of others feel free to bring them to me!
Pairing Ideas:
- Two strangers who run into each other on the daily commute (on the train, subway, at Starbucks)
- A pair of wedding guests that didn't have a plus one (or maybe they did...)
- Two people survive a plane crash landing on an island. They now have to survive
- An elevator gets stuck with two people in it
- Two people who meet online and begin a penpal friendship, not knowing they are friends in real life (sorta like You Got Mail)
- Two strangers who just wanted to have a one night stand but get snowed in for a few days
Again there are more drama filled ideas to that we could discuss if none of these float your boat. A lot of my ideas admittedly come from TV shows or indie rom coms. There are a few more interesting ones that I could suggest though! Hope to hear from you!
