A test pilot takes a newly designed rocket into space for the first time. The new engines can accelerate the ship up to four times faster then any ship mankind has made so far. Making trips to Mars only weeks instead of months. This was meant to be the first real step into space travel. With hopes of going to the edges of our solar system. Once the ship was past the moon and the engines kicked on it all went sour. The engines erupted and as the ship was shot forward faster then anything planned, it opened a temporary wormhole that sent the ship and pilot far into unknown parts of the galaxy. Fate wasn't through with the pilot. When the ship came out of the wormhole it was picked up by a much larger ship. Carrying a race he had never seen.

I absolutely love sci-fi. I have this idea where the pilot's ship is picked up by a larger ship carrying an alien species. This would be first contact for both species. So there would be a language barrier, culture barriers, and just the stress of him being far from home with no way back.

I want us to create the alien species and how they interact. In my mind I see them as a scientific species eager to learn about him and help, but we can change it up to anything. Maybe they are a waring species who takes him as a prisoner? A divided species like humans with different factions trying to control him? Through it all there is one person at his side. You could be a doctor assigned to study him, a linguist trying to understand him, a guard making sure he doesn't run away. Anything can happen really.
