Hi, I'm a 23-year-old university graduate just trying to navigate the challenges of the world, which, as we all know, this year got quite a bit more intense. I like to think of myself as pretty emotionally open - I've been described as someone who wears his heart on his sleeve, and it's something I'd love to share with someone. Indeed, I have had romantic aspirations since I was a child, and whilst real life hasn't always allowed for that, I'd love to keep trying. I tend to be quite physically affectionate - I love hugs, cuddles, hand-holding and most other of such gestures, to the point that the main RR subreddit often reads like my fantasies come true. Physically, I'm about 5'10", a fairly average weight and not particularly muscular, with a fluffy mop of hair I take quite a lot of pride in.
My main hobby is writing, to the point that I'm hoping to make a career out of it, or at least aspects of what I picked up when studying the subject. These aspects include a massive passion for creative works and how they're made, with a fixation on tropes, narrative devices and character development. Expect me to bring these up plenty of times when discussing any work of fiction.
Linked to that, I'm a big fan of anime and books (always looking for suggestions for new ones), and am increasingly getting into more and more TV shows and films on top of that. Settling down to watch an anime/show/film and discuss it at length afterwards is my ideal way to spend an evening, though I'm not averse to more out-and-about options too - though I'm not a huge fan of crowded places, I've also had great experiences in bars and so on.
I enjoy singing, and have sung on stage before as part of university performing arts showcases, to fairly consistently good reception. A lot of the songs I've sung have been showtunes, but other genres have entered the fray too. I'd say I have an eclectic taste in music. Other potential topics for discussion are more or less anything, but with a particular focus on intellectual topics such as science and the humanities, particularly philosophy and history, as they were my best subjects at school. Also, fluffy animal anecdotes. Can't go wrong with them.
Regardless of how formal the above might seem (difficult to tell for me, I just write and talk the way I've always done), I'm very approachable, and happy to receive a DM from anyone.
