Hello everyone. My mom gifted me and my 8 year-old son a FRP-1 bundle from Costco. I'm pretty excited for me and my son to use it. What I want to do is connect it to a tablet or electronic device to really take advantage of the MIDI/Bluetooth capabilities so that we can learn piano. I've seen apps before (like Flowkey, etc.) that I want to use in order to fast-track learning at home without formal piano lessons.
Here's my question. My mind defaults to Apple products usually. But plunking down $1k for an iPad just to use for the piano seems ridiculous to me, but I like the ~13 inch screen. I don't think I would need that caliber of device just for the piano. I have an iPhone already, and I saw that I could use that to stream to a TV (maybe). Are there other ways to connect this piano to a *somewhat dedicated tablet or even smart TV without totally breaking the bank? I'd say my range would be <$1k since I'm not willing to do that for an iPad Pro, and I'd like to find a monitor >=13 inches.
Thanks!
