I adore the sounds of the System-8 and love the green. The ACB I've been told is the best and most accurate versions of the Jupiter 8, Juno's etc... so all that is fantastic, but it's only a 49key keyboard and it lacks aftertouch (esp poly aftertouch)
Jupiter-8 has the not so good emulation of the classics, but a great keybed and most importantly, i-arp. That's the single thing I want most from it. Plus it sounds amazing.
Hydrasynth has the best keybed, poly aftertouch and apparently can do virtually anything you want to throw at it (apart from multi-layered dynamic arps like the i-arp) but it's not Roland and I'm a huge sucker for the Roland sound...
I can only afford one (just) so I have spent most of this year just vacillating.
Any expert thoughts out there?
Oh I have Roland Cloud Ultimate - so I'd want to use the keyboard to play the sounds (esp the JD800 and JX8P) from that, plus act as a midi controller for Roland Cloud and I work on Logic Pro / Apple Silicon Macs exclusively.
Thanks.
