Roku repeatedly loses wifi signal

My wifi cuts in and out on my roku, causing videos to lag, or lose video quality during streaming. It always tells me the same thing, restart your router then restart the roku. It (kinda) works but then the next day its the same problem.
When I go to “setup network” it shows my network’s wifi signal strength is excellent. But when I go to “check connection” it almost always has an issue with the wireless connection even after restarting everything.
