Okay, so I think speedflips have become a weirdly misunderstood mechanic. Most of the the player base doesn't understand how it works. A lot people that I talk to in gold to champ ranks either say it's easily counterable or too complicated to be attempted. Now, I think that there just isn't enough coverage on yt, where most people learn about the game. I'm not sure that people that actively use it completely understand it. Specifically, the cancel is what I see that gets constantly mixed up. The main two arguments that I have seen are that you either cancel your flip directly downwards to cancel the front rotation, followed by air roll down and to the side to correct, or cancel in the opposite direction of the flip to attempt to cancel all rotation. A regular content creator on this sub is Baby Bonez. He has released two different speedflip tutorials that differ on how to cancel your flip. Now, I'm not trying to call him out or anything, but I do think that, as a community, we need to talk about what the correct way is. Additionally, are there any other aspects of the speedflip or other mechanics that aren't really explained consistently in the community?
