Bug? Can someone please explain this??

So I played couple of casual matches. First one, got matched up with a new player playing his first game and all other bots disguised as players ( they even had varying pings) then second game, was a bronze lobby i think. They all left and I lost like half of my elo. Why did that happen btw?
