(1: Ranked MatchMaking) Rocket League Season 3 although long was a lot of fun. Playing at people around my skill level in 3's. Going up and down ranks and eventually made it to Superstar. Season 4 comes and I'm actually really excited to place into the new ranks and try to climb the later up to champion, because I was so close before. Start playing placements with my 2 buddies. We start off good, win our first 5 games by 1 goal. All close games, tons of fun. But for the last 5 games all we played where Season 3 Grand Champs. You can think what you want, but this game is not fun playing against people who invest way more time than you and just out skill you every second of a match. We blow it off and get ranked Gold 3...... Not a big deal, we can always rank up. We queue against Developers now. Lose by 5 goals, not a surprise as they were grand champ in season 3. Lose 5 divisions. LIKE what happened to the promised SOFT RESET? Its like they dont know how to manage a match making system. Hey lets reset everyones elo/mmr so that all the highly skilled people can ruin the game for all the people that arent that good. And on top of that why do I lose 3-5 divisions on a loss, but sometimes not even gain 1 division on a win? It doesnt make any sense. And to those who say "Just wait it out, it'll be balanced in a week or so" No.. Why should I have to wait 2 Weeks- 1 Months before I can play ranked with people that are around my skill level. It makes no sense. I should be able to do my placements and be able to queue into people around me.

Soft Skill Reset my ass. If you're gonna lie to our face at least try to act professional.
(2: Servers) Im no expert about servers, but something is seriously fucked up with Rocket Leagues servers. It hasnt been recent either. Its been here since the beginning of the game. What actually happens in the server is very different than what players see on their screens, no matter what ping you have its there. Even with 10 ping or 100 ping. Its ridiculous that a game with 250k active players can have that issue. Another note on the servers is that Psyonix are the fucking worst at keeping them up. I can't tell you how many times during a ranked game where a server just crashes, or especially recently the servers go down for hours at a time where large amounts of people just can't play. You think with all the money we spend on crates, the game, and other dumb shit in this game they could afford to keep servers up for a day at a time.
Rocket Leagues tweets about servers being down: https://twitter.com/RocketLeague/status/845380514538147840 https://twitter.com/RocketLeague/status/844990948090130432 (Took them 4 hours to resolve the issue) https://twitter.com/RocketLeague/status/844714096150925313 https://twitter.com/RocketLeague/status/844356234081808384 https://twitter.com/RocketLeague/status/844247780797296640 https://twitter.com/RocketLeague/status/844048912444878849 https://twitter.com/RocketLeague/status/843977959023116288 https://twitter.com/RocketLeague/status/842848685335560193
Note: This is in the past 7 days. The servers have gone down 5 times in the past 7 days. You think they would notice and hmmmm maybe fix it? nah. too much money.
It just confuses me how Psyonix managed to turn a game that was enjoyable to play competitive or casual into an absolute shit show.
