[Help] My friend keeps going offline when he launches rocket league

Hey guys, my friend and I have rocket league on our computers and have been trying to play together for awhile, but my friend has a problem. Whenever he tries to start the game/ try to make a party, he gets disconnected from steam and cant play online. He has been trying for awhile to fix it but it doesnt seem anything he does is working. Is there anyone on here who had this problem that could give him some advice as to how he can fix it? Thanks in advance!
