Will legacy adapter work with GH guitar?

I really HATE the rockband guitar and I recently got a few guitar hero 3 guitars for cheap. Does anyone know if they will work with the adapter. Also has anyone tried the adapter on the xbox series x? I don't want to spend 250 or possibly more if it doesn't work.
