It's been nearly two years since I've played, and I'm out of the loop on current mechanics. What forms of movement tend to be the fastest?

I realize prioritizing speed isn't always the most effective strategy, but it's by far one of my favorites in just about every game I play. Given it's been so long since I last played, Robocraft clearly isn't the same as I remember.
That said, what tends to be the best way(s) these days to build bots focused on speed on the ground and/or in the air?
