Is anybody else suffering from severe lag? If so, is there a known fix?

See title. Yesterday, I toughed through the lag. But today it was so bad that I had to immediately leave the first battle I attempted because it was even worse. The game is unplayable for me in this state.
It seems to have started with the recent hotfix to correct the Friends List glitch, or at least coincidentally started at the same time. Anyone know of any other players experiencing excessive lag, and if so, whether anyone's been able to figure out a way to quell it?
