Tech jobs for American expats?

Post Body

I am a single American male visiting a friend in Riyadh and enjoying spending time in the Kingdom. I am in my mid 30s and currently have a remote job in the US making around $75,000 as a software engineer (kind of low end of normal for the type of work I do). I have 10 years of experience working at a software company (although no degree). I do not speak arabic. What kind of opportunities would be available to an american tech worker with my general background in Riyadh or KSA? Are there many tech jobs that would sponsor me for an iqama? Also, what would the typical pay be? The cost of living is substantially higher in Riyadh than where I live in the US (hence my lower pay), so to maintain a similar standard of living, I would guesstimate that I would need around $120,000 USD (38k SAR monthly) or more. Could I do even better than that given my experience? Any advice or companies to look at?

Thanks!
