As a casual player I want to know y'all's opinions about the new game

Hey gang.
I play Rivals pretty casually from time to time with my roommates and a couple other friends and we have a blast playing it. Part of the appeal for us is that it doesn't have grabs, shields, or grabbable ledges. It makes the game feel different from Smash and that's a lot of the appeal for us. When we saw the teaser for the new game we were disappointed honestly that all of those things had been added and I'm wondering if anyone feels the same or if y'all are looking forward to the changes.
