Birdshot hitting my house
Post Body

I am new to the area, I live out in the country where lots are 1-10 acres. I have 1 acre. It's a mix of residential and agricultural.

Dove season started recently and people have been hunting on my neighbor's property. I don't mind, but today birdshot started hitting my house while my kids were playing outside. I called the police and did not file a report but asked them to talk to the hunters about being more careful.

Am I overreacting? I know falling birdshot is not super dangerous but I really don't like gunfire landing on my property.

Edit: It continued a second day. The game warden was not able to make it out so I called the sheriff again and they filed a report. I'm not sure if they were able to speak to the hunters or not.

Edit 2: The game warden is very helpful and is taking it seriously. It may take time but I'm confident we'll get it stopped.
