Idgaf. I'm here to personally rant about it and make probably a ten millionth post about it. This is a rant I just need to get out of my system.

I am am avid Tolkien reader and absolutely a die hard fan for the PJ movies. I have sat through all episodes of RoP patiently.

All the million issues aside with writing, plot etc....

It is overall fine dinner TV. Like, something I can watch while eating. I'm not too invested, it's something I can watch (despite not actually liking it). Haven't finished ep 7 though yet so don't @me

But every week the same frustrating thoughts come into my head.

I just don't understand. IT'S HOLLYWOOD. I live in LA. There's plenty of hot ppl. They couldn't cast a SINGLE hot person as an elf?? (Idgaf about race, give me a hot person in ANY race as an elf, they just need to be hot jfc!) we could have had so many beautiful TV stars!!!!

And they couldn't at least give the not-hot cast long haired wigs to PRETEND they care?

And why is Sauron, one of the few people with a sort of long elvish wig, RUINING IT WITH A MAN BUN? Why the fucking MAN BUN

You're telling me that man is Sauron, who should be alluring???? I'm sorry but he looks like some dude who could just be a neighbor down my hall. I AM NOT ALLURED.

Look, I'm all for celebrating diversity on screen. I BELIEVE IN REPRESENTATION. Hot, not hot, chubby, bony, literally anything - I'm ok with them on screen and I celebrate them all.

But this is the one time where people should actually be hot... so just make them hot. Why is it so hard? I just want... even just one pretty elf... just one!!

Anyways it's like their costume director and casting director together are purposefully trying to wage war against everyone who enjoyed PJ elves. Like fk you and your pretty boys!!!! I want ugly hippie elves!!!!! I never understood the feminine pretty boy hype!!! Fk you, my elves look like dirty men and harfoots!!! Arrrrrr

EDIT i finished ep 7 and Wtf IS THE END CREDITS HAHAHAHA they're actually just fucking with us.
