I might be capping, but I 100% agree with Jomi on this take, Ep. 5 of MoonKnight is the best MCU penultimate episode and it isn't even close. The penultimate episode for Loki was nice, I'm not gonna deny it, but aside of Retro-Loki's sacrifice, there really wasn't anything that blew me away from it. But Ep. 5 of MoonKnight, specially for MCU standards, was gripping damn near from start to finish.
Imma disagree with Chuck-wagon on this point, he claims there aren't any "WOW" individual moments from Oscar Isaac's performance in Ep. 5, akin to Spiderman's "I don't want to go" moment in Infinity War. For me, that "WOW" moment was Marc's brief breakdown into a tantrum over the idea of recalling his painful past. For most of the series Marc has been depicted as the hyper competent of the 2 personalities; the cold-blooded killer to Stephen's "timid, civilian" persona. People might call it "flashy," but that sort of collapse in composure felt visceral and real to me.
Another disagreement with Charles, I personally subscribe to the "efficiency in storytelling" school of thought. I don't NEED an entire episode with Marc's childhood pre-cave for the series to communicate how normal his life used to be. There doesn't need to be a giant backstory or underlying cause for Marc's mom's turn: people turning to abuse as a coming mechanism to deal with their own trauma, and a spouce being too passive or scared, like Marc's dad, to do anything meaningful about it, happens far too often in the real world for me to need a super deep explanation for it from the show.
Even though it came out of left field, I got to completely agree with Chuck's take on One Piece Episode 1015. That episode was more than just a good 24 minutes of anime, that shit was ART. IT definately deserves to be considered one of the best episodes of televisión, not just anime, PERIOD.
